We actually want to understand what you do.
We take the process of getting to know potential affiliates, vendors, contractors, referral partners, and collaborators seriously. We also respect your time.
This is primarily a fill-in-the-blank and selection-based inquiry, with optional space to provide more detail where it is useful. Most people can complete it in approximately 7 to 10 minutes.
Your responses help us understand what you do, who you serve, where you work, how you structure your services, what opportunities fit, what does not fit, how you communicate, and what you may be hoping to grow.
Clear and honest is better than impressive but vague.
You do not need to make your business sound larger, more formal, or more established than it currently is. We are interested in what you genuinely do well, how you treat people, and whether there may be a useful connection.
Useful connections
We do not believe in unnecessary gatekeeping.
If JOAT is not the right fit, we may make a reasonable effort, when possible, to recommend another professional, organization, resource, or direction that could be more appropriate.
A referral, introduction, recommendation, or response cannot be guaranteed.
The goal is usefulness, not collecting names in a database.
Non-exclusivity
Your business is still your business.
Joining the JOAT network does not mean JOAT owns, controls, or limits your work. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, you remain free to work with other clients, accept referrals from other businesses, build your brand, establish your pricing, advertise, pursue opportunities, partner with other organizations, and operate your business as you choose.
The goal is connection, not control.

The Opportunity Is Confirmed Separately
No relationship exists until the specific opportunity and applicable terms are separately confirmed.
Due to the volume and highly customized nature of JOAT’s work, we may not be able to personally respond to every submission.
